About Me

Meet Sarah

I am a licensed clinical therapist in Michigan. I have been a therapist for over 15 years specializing in Complex PTSD also known as interpersonal or relational trauma. I can identify with struggles of closeness and safety with others and the world around me. I too am a trauma survivor. I grew up with feelings of mistrust that skewed my sense of self and caused me to have fragments in my personality and self worth. I understand how difficult it is to cultivate safety in relationships especially when you come from emotionally neglecting families and have had to parent yourself.

Healing is difficult to do alone. I was fortunate to find support and a great therapist who helped me to find my voice and feel protected while doing so. This is why I work alongside my clients to help them to build trust with their heart and bodies. I use EMDR with specific protocols to help clients rewire and repair injuries from the past. I also incorporate IFS therapy because we desperately need to honor and get to know all of our parts. I understand how delicate traumatized nervous systems can be so I seek to create an environment where my clients can feel heard and held.

Michigan born and raised I love being outdoors(except for in the extreme cold). I am exploring hiking, skiing and other activities that take me outside of my comfort zone. I enjoy dancing, party planning and traveling. My favorite activity is sitting on the porch just listening, being quiet, allowing myself space for what’s needed for the day.
