Covid-19 Self Care
While we are experiencing this pandemic and being fed 24/7 virus updates , lets be clear sometimes what you know CAN hurt you. With social media is often helpful to chew the meat and spit out the bones. No doubt there are important safety tips online, but outside of that, its just too much of other people’s take on things. There are a lot of suggestions on what we could be doing with our “extra time”, should be doing with your kids, how you now have no excuse for not exercising and on and on and…on. Sometimes it’s is all just too much! Please realize that what you are currently doing, IS your new routine. It can change next week or not and that’s good enough for now.
Here’s how I am coping…
Breathe- Allow yourself time to adjust without needing to always be scheduled, and planned. Especially if what you are currently doing is working.
Be quiet- Just do it when it needs to be done.
Safety- Identify ways you know you are safe. If you have a cell phone, access to medical care, food, some form of shelter.. allow these things to remind you of how you are safe and that you still have some form of control over your life.
